Job Description:
**A local manufacturer (Non-Aircraft related) is seeking an Accountant with experience in Cost**
- Prepare Sales, Use and other tax related documents.
- Review Banking documentation and related transactions.
- Ensure GAAP compliance.
- Interpret/apply policies, procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX regulations, coordinate SOX and Audit Request.
- Preparation of monthly journal entries, month end accruals and Profit & Loss Statement (P&L) and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Support Manufacturing with product and inventory reconciliation and variance analysis, monitor cycle count program.
- Prepare monthly reports and review with management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- 4+ years of experience in a corporate or cost accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry Accounting and Finance within a manufacturing environment (job costing, cycle counts, budgeting, etc.)
- General Accounting and Financial Reporting / Cost Analysis experience.
- Experience utilizing accounting software (JDE preferred), and other financial reporting systems required.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including advanced Excel skills (v-lookups and pivot tables).
